Christmas Closing — Get Gritting Services Sorted Now

As the UK battens down the hatches for a long and cold winter, widely predicted to be the worst in half a century, professional snow clearance and gritting services like ours are quickly being contracted. Don’t leave it till the last minute - secure our winter services today as, like everyone else, we will be taking some much-earned R&R time and closing for several days over the festive period.

The coming winter is predicted to be so cold due to one of the strongest El Niño phenomena ever recorded. Changing seawater temperatures in the Pacific cause El Niño to occur irregularly - the last time its effects were felt in the UK was the winter of 2009/10 when blankets of snow caused accidents, injuries and chaos across all of the transport networks from rail to air. Coming hot on the heels of Storms Abigail and Barney, this El Niño will further batter the UK with freezing temperatures, high winds and blizzards of snow.

Engaging professional, reliable and competent gritting services is essential during the bad weather that is soon to come. As well as keeping your business open as usual, maintaining both your customer flow and reputation for reliability, gritting services such as ours take the worry of liability for snow/ice-related injuries completely out of your hands.

During the days we are closed for Christmas and New Year, our Gold Standard Met Office Open Site Forecasting will continue to operate, as it does 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The state-of-the-art technology allows us to accurately predict where and when our services will be needed so we can be there right on time.

We provide all of our customers with comprehensive, date/time-stamped records that clearly show which areas we treated and when, with further details that even include exactly how much grit or salt we used. This will allow you to plainly see the cost-effective results of our careful management plans.

The dates we will be closed during the festive period are:

  • Christmas Day - Friday 25th December 2015

  • Boxing Day - Saturday 26th December 2015

  • Monday 28th December 2015

  • New Year’s Day - 1st January 2016

Everyone at Botanical wishes you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
