Showcasing the Future - Botanical Exhibit at Healthcare Estates
Botanical Group Services will be joining more than 100 other exhibitors at Healthcare Estates, the largest trade exhibition of its type in the UK. The two-day event, which started today and runs until tomorrow evening, includes the annual IHEEM conference and an awards ceremony that will take place at Manchester Central in the heart of the city.
In the healthcare sector, the built environment is in a constant state of flux, evolving to accommodate new methods and technologies. As the quality of these buildings rises, so too do the standards set for providing superlative patient care which, in the words of Healthcare Estates, ‘transcends procedures and policies’.
This year, the Healthcare Estates event will have a sharp focus on ‘Quality in the Patient Environment’ and will welcome delegates from a wide range of sectors including operation, design, construction, estate management and maintenance to explore, discuss and debate together the opportunities for improving healthcare environments for the benefit of both patients and staff.
As specialist suppliers of a range of grounds maintenance solutions, including winter services such as snow clearing and both interior and exterior plant displays, Botanical Group Services will play a key role at Healthcare Estates. We will be showcasing several key advances in grounds and plant maintenance provision; each of these advances is designed to team unmatched cost-efficiency with a host of patient benefits. Some of the products and services we will be sharing are detailed below.
Solar Powered Solutions
Though introduced by Botanical Group Services specifically for use in a healthcare setting, these products are also becoming widely popular with ecologically-minded venues and businesses. We will be showcasing our sustainable carbon reduction systems, including new solutions to noise pollution and 80% recyclable batteries which are cost effective within 12 months, providing power equal to around 3000 litres of petrol. This incredible power efficiency means that the total running cost for the battery’s life is around £100, equivalent to £4050 of petrol and oil mix.
The positive mental health effects of plants have long been known and, in recent studies carried out by the Universities of Exeter & Cardiff, were again proven. Reduced stress, lightened mood and improved productivity were all reported by patients who spent time in areas decorated with plants.
Botanical Group Services are leading providers of interior plant displays which, making use of hydro culture systems, offer a range of patient benefits. Negating the need for soil, hydro culture means an end to the many pests and pathogens which reside therein and its hypo-allergenic formula is odourless, clean and will not cause allergic reactions. The plants grow faster than traditional displays thanks to their optimised use of energy and will require minimal maintenance.
Botanical Group Services would like to invite you to visit our stand, which is G26, at Healthcare Estates either today or tomorrow. We look forward to seeing you there!
